PSE and PSD

I created a Photobook which created a PSE file.  After a while the PSE file has disappeared and all I have is a collection of PSD files which means I can no longer open the whole book.  Can I retrieve the PSE format?

    Try typing PSE into the Organizer search bar.

    That didn't bring up anything unfortunately.

    However, the PSE files did appear on my hard disk.  If it was from typing PSE into the Organiser, then all I can say is "what the?'.
