Hi

Can anyone help please?

I have a Dell Inspiron 5000 series computer (all updated) with Windows 10 and have recently bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 14. All going smoothly and to plan until I came to printing!

In 'Organizer' I right click on a picture and from the dropdown box select print. No print dialog box appears and I get the following statement: 'Elements 14 Organizer has stopped working. A problem caused the programme to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. Needless to say Windows has not notified me!

Also, I right click on a picture, go to create, then photo print and try contact sheet and also picture package; both of these repeat the statement above. I've tried a new catalog file but with the same result; I've tried 'repair' the catalog but with no result.

The same problem occurs in 'Editor'; I have checked both 'Editor' and 'Organizer' for updates and both show no updates needed.

I can print other documents from my computer so the problem must be with Photoshop!

I am not an IT expert and mostly self-taught!

ANY assistance would be really appreciated!

Many thanks

Mike

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

Can you please attach the Event Viewer logs here for the Organizer crash you are facing?

Please refer Photoshop Elements Editor Help | How to Find Crash Logs on Windows for getting Event Viewer logs.

    Thanks,

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for making extra efforts to share Event Viewer logs.

Unfortunately these logs are of a different process: igfxext.exe

We need the logs for Photoshop Elements application. In Event Viewer, look for the error that has Photoshop Elements as the faulting application and share those logs with us.

Let us know if you need any assistance.

    Thanks,
    Anwesha

    A. Suggest that you check on the web site of the manufacturer of your printer to be sure that you have the latest driver.

    B. If you still can not print, in Editor go to Edit menu>Preferences>General and reset preferences to default on next launch.

    Hi

    Thanks for the 2 suggestions.

I have the latest driver for the printer and I've reset the preferences to default. Unfortunately no change!
    Thanks anyway for your help.
