PSE7 not working?

I have had PSE7 for many years and it has served me well.  A short time back although it still launched normally and opened the home page, both the edit and organise features did not open properly and were unusable.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled it to no avail.  It has also worked well since windows 10 was installed.  Adobe help desk had been no help saying it is an old program and no longer serviced.  Why should suddenly become incompatible and how can it be put right??

Fred.  I will probably go to Microsoft and put the question to them.  They may just suggest rolling back the updates, but they will still be lurking about somewhere ready to be reinstalled without being cleaned.   Ant

Thanks, Ant.  Can I just go ahead and delete the updates starting with the latest?  Or is it more complex to get them out of the software than that?  Fred

Fred. The rep at Microsoft suggested rolling back to the previous build of Windows via settings and restore. I haven't the experience or bottle to go down that avenue myself. Beeb was a typo by the way. Ant

Same thing - PSE7 - been downloading the updates - all was working well - recently all words have disappeared on the screen, screen only shows symbols and only one photo is available.  Not good as i have over 15,000 photos in there.  Any ideas?  I have not installed any other PSE versions.

If you are using Windows 10 for your operating system, note that there have been  many reports of the older versions of PSE not functioning properly since a recent, forced update of Windows 10.

That's what we have been led to believe.

Suggest that you download the free 30-day trial of PSEv.15. If it works on your machine, you may buy the license subsequently.
