PSE8 error 150:30 persists even after reinstalling
I'm using Photoshop Elements 8 on a 2012 Macbook Pro, running Mavericks.
I suffered a hardware crash and had to backup my files from an external drive, and as a result the licensing for my copy of PSE8 stopped working. On launch, I got the 150:30 error, "Licensing for this program has stopped working". I followed the troubleshooting guidlines found here: Error: "Licensing has stopped working" | Mac OS - ran the LicenseRepair python script in Terminal, it didn't work. After that I uninstalled PSE8 from my laptop, downloaded a new installer from Adobe's website and reinstalled. I succeeded in installing the program and submitting the serial number for my purchase, but upon launch I still get the 150:30 error.
All guides and forum discussions say that by this point, the program should be working again. It is not. Contacing Adobe's chat support didn't provide any answers either, instead they told me to post to the forums. So here I am.
