Purchased Serial Number Not working

I've been running the trial verssion of Adobe Elements 2021.

But when that trial period ended I purchased the licence key from Adobe to continue using it.

They sent me the key yesterday via my email.

But when I try to install the licence key I'm getting an error message "! Please connect to the internet and retry"

But my machine is permanently connected to broadband services.
So I cannot use my Elements software until this is resolved.

If it makes any difference I am located in Australia.

How to solve this problem please

OK

I've been onto the live chat at Adobe.

They did a remote connection to my PC and found some kind of issue in the Hosts file on my computer that was preventing key activation.

He had to use some kind of "cleaner" tool from Adobe to clean up the Hosts file.

When that was done activation went ahead as usual.

Sounds like Adobe Support used the following technique to get you up and running again:

 

Reset your hosts file

 

(In case anyone else encounters a similar problem.)
