Question

Ran system restore now I can not run, install or even uninstall Photoshop Elements 2024.

Just purchased photoshop elements 2024 and installed it just yesterday.  Had to do a system restore today due to network issues with Win 11. Network issue resolved but now I'm going over and checking files some installed program files now no longer have their installed .exe files.  Figured I'll just reinstall photoshop elements right no.... 

 

 

After atempting to reinstall I get this. Unknown error message unable to install. 

 

 

Any help would be appreacted, I've also tried moving the installed files from the Adobe folder thinking maybe it will reinstall.  Nope still getting the same unknown error.

I don't know why you were told to install the creative cloud to solve your installation issue.  (There was an issue with Elements 2022 that required it, but I thought that had been fixed with Elements 2024.)  The Error 11 indicates that there is another instance of the installer running.  Are you sure you uninstalled all traces of Elements when using the Creative Cloud cleaner? 

 

At this point, unless you have a Creative Cloud subscription, you should remove the Creative Cloud using the Cleaner and also run it for Elements again.

 

BTW, when you say: Turns out I had to install creative cloud which did find some errors and fixed them, who told you to do that?  If it was Adobe Support, did you contact them on the Adobe.com website, or did someone contact you via Private Message?  If the latter, then it was probably a scammer.

Thanks for the quick reply, I've gone through all steps.  Will let you know if it worked or not.

Turns out I had to install creative cloud which did find some errors and fixed them. This time I was able to get to 89% install and an error code. 

 

Error 11 

 

Says to uninstall and reinstall product, still not there but making progress.
