RAW Files missing in PSE 15 upgrade

I just upgraded from PSE 11 to PSE 15 on a new windows 10 machine.  I copied the catalog over from my old environment, converted the catalog in pse 15.  The conversion completed successfully.  All my .jpg files are in the newly upgraded catalog, but all my .raw (Lumix FZ18) files are missing.   File count in new catalog is smaller by the exact number of raw files missing.   I have the latest RAW plugin, etc.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,

  Ralph

    Ralph,

Can you explain exactly how you did 'copy the catalog over from your old environment'?

The usual way to migrate to a  new computer and PSE version is the backup and restore process:

Move Elements Organizer catalog | Elements 6 or later

That process copies the files while restoring the folder tree structure and prompts you to convert the catalog.

    Hi Michael,

i just copied the respective catalog folders from the old 11 folder to the new 15 folder.    Although I do backup PSE, I viewed a restore as cumbersome as my photos actually reside on a separate server.   From what you are saying though, that might be the issue.   Is there a workable way to move catalog and any other required files as a migration/upgrade method?  Failing that I will try a restore - does it work when you have incremental backups as well?
