RAW issues with PSE 26

..”Camera RAW requires GPU acceleration to edit photos”... Using a SONY RX10M4 to take both regular .jpg and Raw images, the above message appears. I have downloaded and installed camera RAW for Windows 11 (v18.2.2) with no success. Previous PSE software worked fine on Windows 10 with a Nikon camera. Any help please?

Elements 2026.2 automatically installs ACR 18.2.02482 via the Help menu. If you downloaded and installed ACR 18.2.2, that is the latest ACR for Photoshop Creative Cloud. It will not be installed automatically for use by Elements. The plug-in file would have to be installed manually. In any event, it is unnecessary to install the latest ACR plug-in for your camera.

If Jeff’s suggestion does not work for you, please show us a screenshot of the Editor’s Edit>Preferences>Performance dialog and, in the meantime, change the status of the Use Graphics Processor checkbox:

Thanks for that. This morning I updated to Intel 6th generation graphics processor on my Windows 11 desktop and can now process RAW in PSE. Certainly seems to have worked.

Does your computer even support Graphic acceleration? many low end lap tops do not.

Thanks. My desktop is fairly powerful and this morning I updated to Intel 6th generation graphics processor on my Windows 11 desktop and can now process RAW in PSE. Certainly seems to have worked.

7. Check and delete the TempDisableGPU3 or TempDisableGPU2 files

under GPU troubleshooting steps for Camera Raw and Lightroom

Thanks again Jeff for that. This morning I updated to Intel 6th generation graphics processor on my Windows 11 desktop and can now process RAW in PSE. Certainly seems to have worked. The journey towards success in these matters can be frustrating, but with the help of this forum the route is less bumpy!! Well done everyone.
