Re-analyze photos for facial recognition?

Question

I had my entire catalog done for facial recognition (which works well). Now, I found some photos that were scanned backwards (reversed), so I edited them to be in the proper orientation (along with wording able to be read). But, now the facial recognition in Organizer is pointing to the faces in the old positions.

Is there a way to re-analyze a photo so the facial recognition has the circle in the correct location WITHOUT resetting and starting all facial recognition from scratch? thx!

Are you saying that the FR circles are appearing in the original location of the face, not over the edited file face?

Did you rename the files? If not, try deleting the edited files from the catalog and importing them again. If that doesn't work, try using File>Export as New File(s) to create new files and importing them into the catalog.

Final suggestion is to use the Mark Face button in single-image view to mark the faces.

I haven't tested any of these suggestions, so please let us know if any of them work.

And do you really need to have the FR circles in the correct position? The files are presumably properly tagged and I assume that the correct face (reversed) shows up in the People Room stacks.
