Re: photoshop won't open any files

I realize this is an old thread but it's the first one that came up in my search.  

I had a Win 7 amd have Elements 12.  When I got a Win 10, different laptop, Elements won't open files, if I click on the file.  I have to use the Open command within Elements.  Even when I've created the file since the change in laptops.  I do not have a thing (forgot what one responder called it) to uncheck, within the Preverences / Performance area.  Just setting that involved number values.
