Received message of invalid serial number

Purchased Photoshop Elements. Followed all instructions and received message that serial number is invalid. Per troubleshooting, restarted, tried again, and again. Still receiving message that serial number is invalid. Any real solutions?

    What version, when did you purchase it, and from where?

    2018 version. I bought it from the Adobe site about six weeks ago.

    I suggest you contact Adobe tech support. They've been very helpful, when I could reach them. When you call, be prepared to be on hold for a very long time. After an hour+ on hold the other day, I simply hung up.
