Recently edited file not updating

Once my Recently Edited files list fills up it does not update to show the most recently edited photo (i.e., the list of files remains static).  The only way I can clear the list is to Reset all preferences during a program start.  Is there anyway to clear this list without having to reset preferences?  Any idea why the list will not update?     Window 7 Pro 64-bit, 32 Gb RAM, PSE 15.

Subsequent to this post I discovered a number of similar complaints from last year.  To date Adobe has not corrected this problem.  I found a post that recommended deleting "MachinePref.psp" (and possibly Pref.psp)  path: C:\users\name\AppData\Roaming\Photoshop Elements\15\Editor\*.* However I do not have a "...Photoshop Elements\15\Editor" path or MachinePref.psp (or Pref.psp) file anywhere on my computer.

I see you posted a problem to the Adobe forums regarding PSE and not being able to delete the "Recently Edited" files. I've been searching everywhere for a solution to this problem. I also found the post recommending deleting a file from a path not located on my system. I tried reinstalling PSE 15, but this didn't solve anything either.

If you've discovered a fix from any other source, I'd appreciate it if you would let me know.

    Thanks!
