Recently I had to re-download Windows 11 twice. Once I re-installed Photoshop Elements 2021, my printing feature will not let me print. I also replaced a printer a few weeks ago. It's been maddening as I so rely on my Photoshop. Help?

My Photoshop 2021 doesn’t seem to want to connect to my printer after re-downloading Windows 11. I have the DVD Rom and have used it and depend on it so much I can’t be without it. I’ve re-installed it twice and still the same issue. This never happened before. May be an issue with the new printer or my cellular “wi-fi” from Verizon. Can anyone suggest a fix? Thanks so much.

Are you printing in the Editor or the Organizer? Or both?

If you had to reinstall Windows, you should download and install the latest print driver from your printer’s maker.

Older versions of Elements do not like Wi-fi printers. If you have one, change your default printer to anything but the wi-fi printer. You can even use a virtual PDF printer as your default printer. Then when you are in the Print dialog, change to your wi-fi printer.

You haven’t told us whether you reinstalled Windows from scratch on a blank drive or whether you did some kind of repair installation. You may want to reset the Preferences under the Editor’s Edit>Preferences>General dialog. That usually takes care of most printer connection issues.

I always have printed in the Editor and recently tried the Organizer and it worked once. I do have very poor Verizon which is a celular “wi-fi” and much trouble connecting a new printer and so forth. I will try to print from Acrobat. Also when I put a picture in Editor and hot print, it closes out the page. I am going to switch to another internet provider which is satellite.
