Refine Edge not working??

My PSE 2019 has suddenly stopped working?? I'ne always used the selection brush tool to get as ggod a selection as possible - then use the refine edge selection brush to refine - but all I get is a ping!!

Anyone any ideas.

Try resetting the preferences file. Go to Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.
