Remove ACR edits to start again.

I have an image of a swallow in flight, the only keeper from 570 photos.

The images are in jpg. I am using Elements 2018 and Windows 10

I edited in camera raw. After printing I do not like what I did and wish to start again.

I have the original jpg image. When I try to import the original into the editor it keeps on opening up the edited file in the RAW converter.

In copied the two jpg images I wanted to keep to an external flash drive.

I then deleted all the swallow files from my Elements Organizer catalog and from my photo files on my computer.

I went back to my trash can and deleted all the photos from that as well.

I then copied the two remaining files back to my computer from the flash drive and imported them into my organizer.

When I tried to open them in my Elements Editor, they opened in their edited version in the RAW converter.

I always though that RAW editing was non destructive and totally recoverable.

I tried going to .....Image settings----- Camera Raw Defaults,    again no removal of the  ACR edits.

Can anyone please explain how I can import the original jpg file into the Elements Editor so I can start again?

I AM DESPERATE ...THIS IS ONE Of THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHS I HAVE EVER TAKEN!!!   PLEASE HELP
