Removing purple tint and/or glare from a person's glasses

Hi, does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove purple tint on a person's glasses?

I had done this a few years back in an older version of Elements and now I'm using Elements 2025 and can't seem to find or figure out the steps.

I know I have to select the area and I can remove the color so then it's kind of gray but I can't figure out how to get the flesh color back then. This is covering the whole glasses and not just a spot of purple.

Any help would be appreciated. I've also been trying to find on the internet but not having any luck yet.

For the other photo, I was able to use the Colorize Photo's manual mode to get a more even skin tone:

It is very difficult to reduce any kind of reflection from glasses, particularly a colored reflection like in your image. The full Photoshop has only recently introduced a feature to remove reflections, but even that program has difficulty with reflections from glasses. But here is what I was able to do with your cropped image:

First, I converted the image to black & white, using the Enhance>Convert to Black and White dialog:

Next, I used the Enhance>Colorize Photo menu to restore the color:

Finally, I used the Enhance>Adjust Color>Adjust Color for Skin Tone dialog to even out the different shades of skin and make the forehead more natural:

Those steps seem similar to what I had done before but I remember highlighting the area I wanted to cahnge and I remember removing the color - or converting to black & white but then I couldn't remember how to restore the color.

Are you willing to give us a cropped photo showing just the glasses and the eyes? Or better yet, the whole photo with everything but the glasses blurred out?

Do you have any photos of the same person with glasses that don't have the purple tint? If so, you could try to clone the affected area from one photo to the other.
