Renaming files

Hello,

I'm using PSE15.
There's a need to rename multiple files.
The functionality of "Process multiple files" doesn't offer the options I need.

What I need is the functionaltity of renaming files like it is possible during the import of files from a card reader.
Is there a way to do do this for an existing catalogue?

    No unfortunately, the advanced renaming options of the downloader are not available in the 'Process multiple files' in the editor nor in the 'Export' command of the organizer. I posted such a feature request a few years ago... but I don't expect a positive answer.

    If I had to rename this way, I would perhaps experiment renaming from an external tool for files in a single folder.

    That would obviously 'disconnect' all files of this folder in the catalog, but the 'reconnect' function is able to reconnect renamed files if you guide the renaming process to the correct folder.

      Thanks for the answer.
      That worked.
      It would be fine to use the advanced renamer like you requested.
      Also it would be fie to use to import files from hard drives.

      It would also be fine to have sorter tool to reorganize die folder structure....
