Repair Photoshop Elements 12 installation for MacBook Pro Retina - High Sierra 10.13.6
Recently, Photoshop Elements 12 began showing me a dialog box upon opening the application.
"Your application install seems to be damaged. Please reinstall the application."
The first time I saw it I just clicked "OK" and continued working.
It seemed to work fine so I just ignored it thinking I would fix it when I have the time.
Then it started acting up.
The cursors didn't look the same.
The "Quit Photoshop Elements" menu item was grey and would not quit so I had to force quit.
Then it stopped loading altogether.
So ... I got out my installation disk and inserted it.
I tried to find an option to repair the installation but found nothing.
I attempted to install it but I got another message.
"Encountered a problem. Please download Adobe Support Advisor."
Tried the link provided but found nothing.
Did some searching around and found comment by someone else to the affect that Support Advisor has been discontinued and now what do they do?
Oh, great.
Did some more looking around and saw advice to uninstall the application and then reinstall.
Ran the uninstall program but got an error message.
"Encountered a problem. Please download Adobe Application Manager."
Tried the link provided but found nothing.
Looked around but found nothing called Application Manager.
How do I repair this installation?
