Restoring PSE 12 Catalog to PSE 18

I am setting up my new computer.  I have PSE12 on the old one and have loaded a ;licensed PSE 18 on the new one.

I backed up the catelog on the PSE 12 and restored it on the new one with PSE 18.  I selected keep original file structure.  Subsequently, i realized I should have let PSE 18 set the file structure.

Bottom line I want to start over with the restore.  

Can I just delete the catelog in PSE 18 on the new computer and delete the directory with the Photos in it (if not deleted whin I deleted the catalog).

and then restore the PSE 12 catalog again into the PSE 18 and select  the correct option on the file structure?

Will I be messing anything up?
