Sale Pricing

I saw the current sale price of $59.99 and thought I would upgrade as it seems a good price. However as I am in the UK on selecting buy now the price changes to £86.56 and checking on the Adobe UK site it would appear that there is no discounted price there. Is it to do with taxes that they won't sell to other countires from there US site? But normally I can buy software from other countries in there local currency for the same price.

The dvd version is Windows & Mac. You can still use the Adobe download and validate with the serial number from the disk. But you may be happy just purchasing a single platform product code.

US price: $59.99, excluding tax. (US residents may pay tax, but it's never on the ticket).

UK price: £54.99, including 20% VAT (that's the law in the EU, so this week, it's the law in the UK). That's £45.83 excluding tax and $59.18 in dollars at today's rate. So you get a bargain! 

But prices are set separately. Retailers don't want to have to post new prices every day based on the latest currency prices.

 The £54.99 on Amazon is for the DVD version ( do people still buy those? ), strangely it's £59.99 for the code only, but I wouldn't call it a bargain unless you don't have to pay the tax. Strange though that the direct price from Adobe in the UK is not discounted.

I recently purchased PSE 2020 from John Lewis for £53.99 and collected it from my local Waitrose the next day. Obviously I don't know if they are still doing this offer but hopefully they are. Good luck.

    Thanks, I see they are out of stock now - that's why it's better just to sell a serial number as those never go out of stock 😉. Anyway it's only a pound cheaper.

    Adobe has always had separate pricing for separate regions and in Europe those have usually been a bit higher than in the US. Although you often need to compare prices after including State sales tax.

    Thanks but I had already seen that and it's more expensive than buying from Adobe in dollars. I buy other software from the US at the same price as those people living in the US and was wondering if there is a tax reason?
