I have used Elements 8 for some time and organize my images on my 😧 drive. Suddenly the photo downloader in Elements does not see the 😧 drive. I can see all my exisiting images from within Elements but just can see thwe 😧 drive from within the downloader. I have been into the preferences menu and browsed rge saved files location but the 😧 drive is not visible there either! The downloader is defaulting to the C:\users location.

You can try resetting the Organizer Preferences by:

To re-create the Photoshop Elements Organizer preferences file:

  1. Close the Photoshop Elements Organizer.
  2. Rename the psa.prf file (for example, to psa.old) in C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Elements Organizer\8.0\Organizer.
  3. Open the Photoshop Elements Organizer. The Organizer creates a new preferences file.

If the problem continues, then a damaged preferences file is not the cause of the problem. To restore custom settings, delete the new psa.prf file and restore the original name (psa.prf) of the file that you renamed.
