ScriptingListenerJS.log doesn't appear on desktop after install

I am running PSE 2020 on an iMac running Monterey 12.0.1

I put the script listener plug-in into the plug in folder.

I checked the system info in PSE and ScriptListener 21.1 is listed as installed.

I opened and edited a file, and the ScriptingListenerJS.log does not appear on my desktop.

Any help is appreciated.

You need the ScriptingListener plug-in for Photoshop 2019 and earlier, which is ver 13 for

photoshop elements 2020 running on macOS.

The plugin is not notarized so you'll have to remove the quarantine flag by following the steps described

here by ACP thedigitaldog (correct answer).

The Terminal.app is located in /Applications/Utilities

      If as that was said you did relaunched Ps and it still does not work there has to went something wrong.

      ScriptingListener plug-in

      The ScriptingListener plug-in can record JavaScript to a log file for any operation which is actionable.

      Install the ScriptingListener plug-in:

      • Quit Photoshop.

      • After you download the ScriptingListener plug-in package file above, double-click it to decompress it. If asked, extract all the files.

      • After you unzip the package, you will see three folders:

        • Documents
        • Sample Scripts
        • Utilities

        Copy the Utilities folders to the Photoshop plug-ins folder:

        macOS:

        • Applications\Adobe Photoshop [Photoshop_version]\Plug-ins\

        Windows:

        • Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop [Photoshop_version]\
         
         

      • Relaunch Photoshop.
