Question

Serial Number

I am trying to activate PS Elements 15 on a new computer.  The last computer I had it installed on has been wiped by myself.  In my account I have no activated devices but I get "The serial number is already in use by the maximum allowed computers".  How do I resolve this?  There doesn't seem to be a way for a non-business user without a cloud subscription to talk to support these days.

Now I just tried again to re-enter the serial and it's telling me that it's expired or was illegally acquired!  This is a legal key that I purchased from a reputable store several years ago, it's attached to my adobe account and now they're telling me it's illegal?

You must contact Elements support. You can start a chat session by clicking on the blue Contact Us button under the Help and Support menu at Adobe.com. Or you can contact Support by telephone using the numbers listed here: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html.  Unfortunately, if you are outside the US, hours of operation may be limited. (See the link to the phone list for hours of operation.)  If you get any resistance from the support representative, ask to speak with a supervisor.

This is the only way to reset the activation in your circumstance and support is required to do it for Elements users.  BTW, your account's activated devices only applies to subscription services, not to Elements.
