Setting Image Size *AND* Resolution

Photoshop Elements 11.

MacOS 10.13.3

For a Visa I am required to provide an image 50mm x 50mm and 350 pixels x 350 pixels.

But I can only do one *OR* the other.

At 50mm x 50mm I have 1683 pixels x 1683 pixels - *OR* at 350 pixels x 350 pixels I have 10.4mm x 10.4mm.

How do I adjust one without the other changing.

I've tried this with 'Resample Image' ticked and not ticked, but to no success.

    For a Visa I am required to provide an image 50mm x 50mm and 350 pixels x 350 pixels.

    1. Open the picture file
    2. Activate the rectangular marquee tool. On the tool''s option bar, for Mode, choose fixed size in the drop-down. For W & H enter 50mm (including the letters mm)
    3. Drag the outline appropriately to embrace the head
    4. Go to Image menu>Crop.

Further to above, a resolution value of 350 is expressed in px/in. 350x350 makes no sense to me.

For printing, resolution in the 240-300px/in range is recommended.

If you are determined to change the resolution, activate the Crop tool, and you can enter the resolution along with the parameters for H&W.
