Should I upgrade my Photoshop Elements 2023?

Hi folks!  I'm new here.  I bought Elements 2023, along with Jeff Carlson's Visual Quickstart Guide, published the year before.  Elements is installed and running just fine on my Mac desktop.  Somehow, I've been distracted for the past two years, and am only now gearing up for Elements.

Does it make sense to stick with my 2023 version, or has a lot changed since then?  If not much has changed I would rather save my money.  I realize that tastes differ, and there are some who always want to upgrade to the latest and greatest.  I'm just hoping for some collective wisdom on the return-on-investment for the upgrade.

Thank you!

Give the 7 day trial a try and see how it goes:

Thank you, Greg and Glenn!  The comparison document was just what I was looking for.  I think I'm going to go forward with what I have, and see if the updates listed in the document matter to me.  Then I can always do the 7-day trial and kick the tires.  I appreciate your help!

There is one new tool in PSE 2025 which I really like.  The remove tool.

I used it to remove some big powerlines, hard to tell where they were- except for one area:
Middle of the left side: a row of trees are copied.  I could have just removed those with another use of the remove tool, but I chose not to.

Here is a version comparison guide.  Only you can decide whether it is worth it for you to upgrade.

Added:  Note that a purchase of Elements 2025 only provides a 3 year term license, not a perpetual license which is what you have with Elements2023.  (In recent years, Mac owners have been required to upgrade versions because Apple has not been great about supporting legacy versions of Elements when they make changes to the OS.)
