Smart fix on Elements 8

My attempts to use smart fix on elements eight default to a screen that goes "searching for missing file" and starts scrolling through all my files.

I also have elements 15 and in trying to move my folders over some did ok. Most went by date so I have a group in E15 that is labeled may 2 2010. With 35.000 pics you can imagine this is not good. How can I move pics over by folder not date?
