Trying to smooth skin, cirecle shows up but there is no sliding tool to adjust? What am I missing? Its a low resolution photo, 72 as Im just using it for a post. When the screen with the photo with circle comes up I can't back out of it. Have to shut my computer down.

Correct answer Jeff Arola

To me it looks like Photoshop Elements 2024 is displaying on the screen in a much larger size that normal and that's why you can't get to the bottom of the Smooth Skin dialog.

If you go to Apple>System Settings>Displays, can you post a screenshot of that screen so we can see the settings?

When you first installed Photoshop Elements 2024 it should have been automatically registered to the account you used

Sign In with.

So check that account to get your serial number

Hi! I'm back. I though  maybe I had in just trial mode before so, I have requested trial now. Same thing......do I need to purchase to get it to work?

I'm back. I have requested for 2024 to do a trial....same thing. if I get the circle over face, there is still no slider. Yes, Jeff, I agree, its down where all of the icons are. Don'tknow how to correct this. Also when I'm in PSE 2024 escape button doesn't get me out, I have t o totally close down my Mac Air.

@TerriKay, you have marked your answer as correct.  Does this mean you have reinstalled the program, found your serial number, and it now works as you expect?

So now what do I do? I really don't want to repurchase it.

When a dialog like that appears and you can't get to any buttons like Cancel, pressing the Esc key usually closes the dialog.

Actually it looks like from your screenshot that the bottom of the Smooth Skin is cutoff because of the Dispaly settings

in macOS.

What version of macOS are you using?

In Apple>System Settings>Displays did you set something other than Default like for Larger Text?

Hi Jeff! I'm using Ventura 13.67. Mac Air. No I didn't try to set anything for larger text. I uninstalled PSE 2024 now its showing like I have purchsed  new one!

You can find your serial number.  This link will take you to the Products page of your Adobe.com account. There you will find download links for your registered products and the serial numbers for each. https://account.adobe.com/products

Ahhh   . . . . .  You are using the Enhance>Smooth Skin option.  (I forgot about that one.)  So, clearly it is not working properly on your machine.  Has it ever worked?

I suggest that you try resetting the preferences file. Go to the Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.

If that doesn't fix it, you may want to try a full uninstall-reinstall of the program.

And, in the meantime, you can use the Smooth Skin tool in the Perfect Portrait Guided Edit which is shown in my earlier screenshot.

What tool are you trying to use?

If you are talking about the Perfect Portrait Guided Edit, please show us a screenshot.  You should have a strength slider under the Smooth Skin button.  You should also have a Cancel button in the lower right corner.

Hi! Thank you for your quick response. I am attaching the screenshot for your review. As you can see, there is no slider at the bottom of the page. Also, I just have to close down my mac air to get out of it.
