I'm writing an article explaining the General Preferences window for PSE 15. There is an option that I don't know what it means. It's a box labeled "Enable Soft Notifications". Does anyone know what this means? Thank you!

Soft notifications are confirmations that pop up momentarily showing an action has been completed. For example if using the undo button or Ctrl+Z you will see a confirmation of the type of undo action. I keep the box unchecked as I don’t need to see these notifications but they can be useful for beginners.

    Good question.

I don't think that refers to notification of updates. Those are controlled by by other option 'Updates' in the Help menu.

I suspect that is what allows Adobe to send you messages informing you about new versions. I also get messages to try Photoshop CC for raw editing for instance, depending on what I am doing.
