Some Photoshop Elements 10 functionality seems to be missing in PE 14

In PE 10, I often used the "Interactive Layout" panorama to create a single jpeg file composed of 2, 3, 4 or more individual photos that actually did not constitute a panorama (i.e., I created a 2 x 2 layout, a 1 x 2 or 1 x 3 layout, etc.).  In this case, PE 10 would fail to automatically create a panorama and would stack all of the selected photo thumbnails along the top of the screen. Then I could drag the individual photos into any alignment I wanted, insert a background color layer, and then create the "panorama" output file I wanted.  This was useful for consolidating several photos into a single slide.

I can't find this functionality in PE 14.  Does anyone know how to do this in PE 14?

My PE 10 is unstable with macOS Sierra 10.12.5 (latest version).  I've reinstalled PE 10, but I get same unstable results.  PE 14 runs fine.

Unfortunately, adobe removed the interactive layout starting with photoshop elements version 12.

Really wouldn't be a big deal if photoshop elements had File>Scripts>Load Files into Stack, Edit>Auto Align Layers and Edit>Auto Blend layers like the full

    version of photoshop has.

Then one could load the pano images as layers, do an Auto align Repostion, move any layers around as necessary, then do an

    Auto Blend.

Anyway, that's what a lot of photoshop users do now with hard to align panos that photomerge won't do, since adobe removed the interactive option from full photoshop versions as well.

Example of a hard align pano using photomerge and the method described above.

And using photoshop elements 11's interactive layout i got a virtually identical result as the "manual" method above.

Photomerge results a single photo while not merging the other 9.

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Panorama functionality has been enhanced with PSE 14 and onwards. It is now part of Guided edits.

Please see Guided mode - Photomerge Edits in Photoshop Elements and Create a panorama

Let me know in case you have any more queries.

    Thanks,

    Arshla

    Hi Arshla,

Yes, I know the panorama function is accessed from guided mode in PE 14.  My problem is that neither "Collage" nor "Reposition" seems to allow me manually reposition unrelated photos (i.e., photos that don't make up an actual panorama) the way I could in PE 10 with the "Interactive Layout" panorama function.  Here are examples of what I want to create.  These were made in PE 10 when it was still running OK on my Mac.  I can't figure out how to do this in PE 14.  Is it possible?  If so, how do you do it?

    Best regards,

    Pete
