Question

Stack Version Sets

I have Windows 11 and Photoshop Elements 2022.  I may have the terminology wrong, but previously when I used Instant Fix to edit a photo, it would stack the edited version on top of the original.  In the Organizer, the edited photo had a triangle (arrow?) on the right side of the edited photo and when I clicked on it, it would open the stack so that the original photo was beside the edited photo.

My problem now is that I don't have the triangle (arrow?) after editing.  I do have a Version Set square in the upper-right corner of the edited photo.  I think I must have changed something, possibly in the Edit tab, so that I cannot unstack the photo to see my original.  I click on the Edit tab and the Stack and the Version Set in the drop-down menu are grayed out.

I have used Photoshop Elements 11, Photoshop Elements 2020, and now Photoshop Elements 2022 and have never run across this problem previously.  As a warning to anyone offering help, I'm an old retired dude and definitely not Mr. Computer Tech! :-))

You have to be in the Details view to open/expand a stack whether it is a version set or a stack.  Press Ctrl+D, and you will have the ability to view all photos in the stack. I don't use it very often, but I don't think the view you are in has ever had the ability to expand a stack.

The following screenshot shows an image that is part of a stack (jpeg+raw files) and a version set.  It has different icons for each.

Here is the same image in the Details view with the arrows that you are used to.

Greg S. - Thanks for your help.  I have no idea why or what I did, but I am now getting the Stack of the edited photos with the last edit on top with the "arrow" on the middle-right side of the photo.  I didn't use the Crtl+D you suggested.  I have no idea what happened, but I appreciate your input.
