Staying connected with the current catalogue when replacing all original photos to a different disk

Hi anyone,

I'm using Photoshop Elements organizer 2018. 

Since some time it's impossible to add new files to the catalogue.

Maybe because the disk where I file all original photo's is full.

I want to replace all photo's to a new, different, portable disc.

And I want to connect it with the current existing catalogue on the same disk it is now saved.

What is the best way to get the original files and the catalogue existed so all metadata that I added to every picture (like tags, maps, etc) are kept. And I can use the catalogue again as I used to do.

Please give me some helpful answer on this matter.
