Switch from Elements 15 to Lightroom

I am currently trying to decide if I want to switch to Lightroom. If I do will my photos in Elements 15 automatically transfer to Lightroom?

Which Lightroom? There's Lightroom CC, and Lightroom Classic CC. Very different products with very different workflows so don't confuse them.

Lightroom CC is Cloud only. Photos are stored in the Cloud. Nothing on your desktop.

Lightroom CC is a version 1.0 product at this stage. Not many features although Adobe says they are working on it.

Lightroom Classic CC is desktop based. It's got lots of features and stores links to photos in a Catalog.
