Switch from P Elements on PC to Lightroom Classic on Mac

I want to migrate from Photoshop Elments 21 on a Windows PC to Lightroom Classic on an Intel Mac (Big Sur).  What would you recommend first:  Switching to Lightroom on the PC and then migrating the files to Lightroom on the Mac, OR migrating the files to Elements on the Mac and then switch to Lightroom on that Mac?
