I just installed photoshop elements 8 on my windows 10 laptop. When I try to start photoshop and select organize, I get a message saying the directx could not be started, and shows where to download directx. I downloaded and installed directx but I still get the same error message. Potoshop works ok when I select edit. Anyone help?

    Hi mcarovillanosr,

Thanks for posting in Adobe forum.

I understand you are facing issue with Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 due to DirectX.

Can we follow the following steps:

    - Click "Start Button"

    - Type "Turn Windows Feature On & Off"

    - Open it

    - Check for "Legacy Components"

    - Click the + sign

    - Check "Direct Play"

    - Click "Ok"

    - Check Adobe Elements

    Hope this works

    Thanks

    Regards
