TEXT: converted to pixels from inches

Hello.

For some reason Text resolution is in pixels, it was an automatic change.  I can not find how to convert the text from pixels back to inches.  Edit>Preferences, only provides an option to convert units/rulers from pixels to inches.

Thank you.

In addition to what's been said, type size is not the size of an "A" or "a" or "g"; it's the size of the metal block they come on — as designed by Gutenberg. I'm mentioning this in case you pull out a ruler and see a discrepancy.

Dear User,

There is no one click solution available to convert the resolution in inches. The details given by Greg & Geln explains it well. Please convert your fonts accordingly.

Thanks,

Geetanjali

This is basically what Greg said. Text isn't measured in  inches.

There are 72 vertical points in printing- that means a 72 point font should be one inch tall, and a 36point font is one half and inch tall. That is avery simlified explanation.

Please show us a screenshot of what you are referring to.

Text size is measured in points (pt), not pixels.  A point is 1/72 of an inch.

Pixels (px) have no fixed size.  They are measured according to the size and resolution of the device on which they are displayed.
