Question

Text has jaggered edges

Hi all, I am using PSE11 and wanting to add text to a 16 x 20in document. I am using a Sans Serif font downloaded from Dafont and have enlarged the text to fit the page. I am wanting to use this text as a clipping mask for photos. The edges of the text are not clean, how do I lose the jaggered edges?

Thanks in advance, cheers Deb

Make sure you view the image at 100% view (actual pixels) before making a determination of edge quality.

Double click on the Zoom Tool (Magnifying Glass) in the tools panel to go to 100% view.

Also make the Anti-aliasing for the text is checked.

That is the problem. You have probably exceeded the pt font size with this maneuver.

On the tool's option bar, note that you are limited to the default type sizes in the drop-down --  highlight the value on display and type in a larger value.

We look forward to your progress.

sorry I didn't explain myself very well. I did use the drop down to change the text size. Would changing the font to a vector image help?
