TEXT PROBLEM

The text in my document appears black on the screen but when I print it is a dull and very light blue gray.  I am copying the text from Print Artist but it is done in black in that program too.  I have tried going in on individual text blocks and changing the color to black but to no avail. Anybody know how can I fix this?
