Text tool causes error

I lost all info/text  in the Menue bars like, file, edit, image etc in photoshop 11. When I installed an upgrade of PS 15, I lost the Text tool and kept getting error message that something prevented the text engine from being initialized.  I did all the 4  recomandations that the Adobe team suggested published oct. 11.2017. Moving fonts delete font cache etc. I uninstalled PS 15 and 11. Reinstalled PS 11 everything was working fine. Menuebars and the text tool. When I installed PS15 I also did an update conserning Camera and Raw which came up as an suggestion. Now  I am back with the same problem. The Text tool does still not work in PS 15. The organizer works in PS 11, but when I am opening the Editor in PS11, it directs me to PS 15.
