The menues does not agree

I have started to learn Photohop in one version (the one with the symbol Ps).

Now I have bought a license for Photoshop Elements 2022, but didn't realize that they were quite different from each other.

My problem:

I am attending an online course concerning the first version mentioned (Ps).

Will I even be able to follow the course with this version of the program (Photoshop Elements 2022)?

They look really different and the menues seem to not quite agree.

Photoshop and Photoshop Elements are completely different. There's no way of following an online Photoshop course when using Photoshop Elements.

But when did you buy Elements 2022? Photoshop Elements 2023 was released in Sep 2022.

Adobe will refund you within 30 days of purchase but it sounds like you may be outside that window now.

Contact Adobe Customer Care or the vendor you purchased Elements 2022 from.
