The refine Edge tool is not taking out all areas

Question

I'm trying to do a tutorial for a zoom effect on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdSWubzncqE&t=615s

I have used the lasso tool to select the girl in the photo. I then tried to use the refine edge tool to get rid of what the lasso tool did not. But no matter how many times I go over the background around the girl, I can't get all of it to go away.

Any help would be appreciated.
