TIFF stands for

a) Tagged Image File Format

b) Tagged Interchange File Format

Which is correct option?  Is there any difference between image file format and interchange file format

As far as i know, they both refer to the same thing, however, Adobe the owner of the TIFF file format uses the term Tagged-Image File Format.
