I have had Photoshop elements 14 for almost 3 years. I tagged my images using Organizer in Photoshop elements 14. I just bought and installed Photoshop Elements 2019, and imported my existing image files and folders into Photoshop elements 2019. Now none of my images show the tags, I have assigned to each image in the past almost 3 years!!!

How do I get the tags to show in Photoshop elements 2019 that I have been applying since I started using Photoshop Elements 14??????

Thanks so much,

TK in Tenn

Do you have the Details view showing?  If you are in the anamorphic view (which is the default), hit Ctrl+D and the grid view will show up with your tags.

Side note:

You should not include your mail in a public forum like this. It's contrary to the forum rules and the best way to get tons of spam. [Personal info removed by moderator]

Importing in a new catalog (even with the same Elements version):

That means the organizer reads the info in the files themselves. The info about tags, albums, stacks/version sets etc is NOT stored in the files. It's stored in the catalog. You could voluntarily 'write metadata' to files, to get the tags, captions and rating in the files (or their xmp sidecar files for raws). Then you would have recovered them, but nothing about tags and albums hierarchies, nothing about albums, creations, stacks, version sets...

So you have to recover the information from your catalog. The process is a conversion, the catalog is read and a copy in the new format is created from the catalog.

Move Elements Organizer catalog

If you are installing the new Elements version on the same computer, the install process will detect your old catalog and prompt you to convert it. If you missed that opportunity, you can start it when you want from the catalog manager.

Maybe I should delete the Photoshop Elements 2019 program and reload it??
