tools just stopped responding..seemed to be in slooooooow motion

I was working in photoshop on an image and tried the blur tooool. which seemed to be in a slooooooow motion. It never even finished the task?

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. We need some more information to reproduce the issue.

- What is the OS of the machine ?

- What version of Photoshop Elements you are using ?

Have you tried after resetting the preferences of PSE ?

To reset the preferences.

1. Press ctrl/cmd + k

2. Click on 'Reset preferences on next launch' button.

3. Click on 'Ok' button.

4. Relaunch the application.
