Transfer of data to PSE 2018 from PSE 10 ?

Hi,  I currently have PSE 10 & just purchased PSE 2018.  Will my photos, photo edits, tags, sub-tags, etc. transfer to PSE 2018 from PSE 10 or do I have to start from scratch?  When I uninstall PSE 10, do I lose all the photos?  Should I install PSE 2018 & then uninstall PSE 10 or do the reverse? Please bear in mind that I suffer from a large degree of computer illiteracy.  Thanks for any advice given! I hope I am in the correct forum now since I followed the link given to me.

The picture files are not stored in PSEv.10. They are on your hard drive wherever you put them.

Each version of the software is independent. Both v.10 & v.2018 can be on the same computer. I would leave v. 10 in place until you are certain the everything works ok, unless you are pressed for disk space

As for the organizer, here are directions for your purpose:
