Transfer photoshop pictures to new computer [How to transfer tags and captions?]

I just purchased a new computer. I setup Photoshop Elements 11 on the new computer without problem. I want to copy all of the pictures and their tags and captions from the old to the new computer.  Pictures came over with their info concerning dates, camera, etc.; however, the captions and tags did not.  Is there a way to get this information to the new computer?

    The easiest way to do this is to backup your catalog on the old computer and restore the backup to your new computer.  Depending on the size of your catalog, you should probably backup to an external drive and restore from there to the new computer.  If this is not a possibility for you, there are other ways to get most of the information restored to your new computer.

    If you have already copied the photos to your new computer in the same path as the old computer, I would rename the main folder before doing the restore.  When the backup is restored, it can use the original path of the old computer.  If everything works as planned, you can delete the renamed folder.
