Question

Trial version cannot be licensed

I installed Elements 2018 from a disc version a long time ago. For the last 3 weeks, the software has been asking me for the licence after starting. When I enter the serial number, Photoshop starts. But the next time I start it, the licensing timer keeps running and I am still offered to test the software. A new installation did not solve the problem.

In short: I have a disc version of the software with the serial number printed on it, but the number has no effect.

I don't know if this will work but try downloading and installing the free Creative Cloud desktop application.  There is no need to purchase any subscription but this application is used for licensing.

This may also be an activation issue.  Contact Adobe Support and ask them to reset the activations for your license.  You can start a chat session by clicking on the blue Contact Us button under the Support menu at Adobe.com. Or you can contact Support by telephone using the numbers listed here: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html.  Hours of operation are limited outside the US.

Thank you for the answer. First I will try to contact Adobe support, because I also assume that it is a activation issue.
