Trouble using Adjustments in Quick View - Photoshop Elements 14

Hello,

I'm having trouble using the adjustments in Quick view. If I click on one of the adjustment tools (Smart Fix, Exposure, Lighting, Color, Balance, or Sharpen), I can only click one time in the tool's parameters, after which the tool closes itself. Frustrating.

Please advise!
