Trouble with actions in PSE 12

Hey Everyone! I recently started using LR6 in conjunction with PSE12. The problem I'm running into has to do with the actions in PSE... I am not able to run actions on images that I "edit in" from LR to PSE. (I get error messages like "the command MAKE is not currently available" or "can't find background layer" etc.) When I open a RAW file straight into PSE the actions work fine. Has this happened to anyone and if so how did you fix it? I would appreciate any help someone can offer!

Sorry about the last post, i read your question wrong.

I believe the problem is that the raw files you send from Lightroom to pse 12 are 16 Bits/Channel.

Next time you open the raw photos into pse fromLightroom go to Image>Mode and click on 8 Bits/channel and then try an action.

In the Lightroom Preferences under External Editing you can set the Bit Depth to 8 Bits/Component, to have the raw files exported to pse 12 as 8 bits\channel files.

Thank you so so much for your help... it worked!! I've been trying to get help on this for several days without any luck. If you dont mind me asking, will bit depth being in 8 bits effect the photo poorly? I was also trying to read up on how I should set up the file format, color space and resolution but I can't figure out the best solution. Do you have any suggestions? I'm afraid I will pick the wrong preferences and cause harm to the editing process of my photos.
