Question

UNABLE TO DELETE AN ALBUM(s)

Hi

I am trying to delete two empty albums in Elements 14 ad unable to do so.  After following the instructions all I keep getting is a message saying "clear applied filters".  I have no filters applied.

I currently have created a "Junk Album" to hide the offending albums in but of course this does not resolve the issue.  I am very new to Elements and not really familiar with computers etc.  The computer is a MacBook Air

Thank you

An album is just a list of files; exactly like a playlist for audio files. They have nothing to do with folders, they don't contain any image, only links to the relevant images in your catalog.

On Windows you simply highlight the album name in the album panel on the left; you right click and choose 'delete' from the contextual dropdown menu. Deleting the list (the album) does not delete any of the image files it linked to.

    Hi,

Thank you for your solution.  However it does not work.  Just keep getting a message "No media available.  Please clear applied filter and try again".  There must be someway of clearing applied filters whatever they are.

    Thank you

    Hi mykeo67903492,

    - In the View menu first select "Media types" and verify that all the options are checked in the fly-out. If any option is unchecked please click on it to enable it.

    - Also, Go to View > Hidden Files > Show All Files

If any media is still present and hidden, it will show you in the album.

    Your feedback is really appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Rahul
