Question

Unable to export as online album with Sharing

Hi all !

I just upgraded my version of Elements 15 to Elements 2018 and I have a problem with the album export in Elements organizer 2018, because on the button "Share" on the top right, I only have only the following options:
- Facebook
- Email
- Flickr
- Twitter
- Vimeo
- Youtube
- Burn a DVD Video
- PDF slideshow

But I want to export the album as a gallery on my hard drive (so in html) and then put this gallery on my web site but I do not have the option so that I should be able to do it as described in your guide to the following address:
https://helpx.adobe.com/fr/elements-organizer/using/create-share-online-album.html#select_an_online_album_template

Do you know why ?
And how to solve this and add all the possible functions?
Because when I look at screenshots on various websites, I see that normally the number of options to export is much higher than what I have.

Thank you in advance for your help.

As far as I know, you can't create html web galleries in Elements 2018 (nor in PSE15).

You would need Lightroom or a third party software.

    Hi Michel !

This is strange because I saw some tutorials about this feature and each

time the entry "Album Online" from the "Share" button is mentioned.

And the help page (in french your langage I supposed too I put in my

previous post explains that feature. Do you see it ?

    Thanks in advance for help.

That help page does not say the exported 'albums' can be html web galleries.

The word 'album' (in French or English) is used instead to descrive vaguely how a set, a collection of media is shared depending on the sharing destination.

By the way, each of those sharing types understands the word 'album' in its own way. In the organizer, albums are just lists of pointers to the items stored in the catalog, which in turn point to the physical location of the media files. Those lists can record your 'custom' order. It's of the same nature as a 'playlist' for audio files. There is no defined file or display format.

In other applications or web services 'albums' may be understood in various ways; they may be like a folder tree (the same file only appears in a single subfolder, otherwise it has to be duplicated). Each application provides a way to browse and manage the display of the files in your collection (the 'album').

What's not clearly said in the help page is that what you can export to HD for sharing is either the pdf slideshow or an mp4 recording of your slideshow options.

Creating a Web gallery like in old Elements versions to be used with Flash Player is no longer available. Only .mp4 video.

The html option is available in Lightroom.
